Kicking Off the Email Evolution Conference
Yesterday Adam and I flew in for the Email Experience Council’s Email Evolution Conference. It is the first year of the conference and hosted in San Diego. Although flights to the West Coast are always long, the flight went off without a hitch and we arrived sometime around 5.
Soon after we arrived, DJ and I joined the conference sponsored harbor cruise. Nice event with good food. We had a good time mingling with the email marketing elite and gurus. Nothing too notable there but a nice start to the event.
Yesterday there were some pre-conference workshops that DJ and Andrea participated in. DJ also did the latest rendition of BrontoFire with Chad White of the EEC. I haven’t seen the tape yet but I’m sure it’s good.
Today the conference starts in earnest with a keynote in about a hour. In addition to networking and getting some industry insights, tomorrow I am moderating a panel discussing building blocks to an effective email marketing campaign. Casey Kohner of Trek Bicycles and Bill McCloskey of Email Data Source are participating. I am looking forward to it and will have more to insights on the conference to post then.
I’ve traveled the world a bit but I’ve never been to San Diego. It’s foggy as you can see from the picture taken out of my hotel window. More to report later.
